Reaching Out In Love
Jesus left the Mount of Olives ascending into the air on the clouds and promising to return the same way. His parting message was for us to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God first in Jerusalem, then in Judea and Samaria and to the utter most parts of the earth. We reach out to our Bethany community visiting homes and families every month as they are our Jerusalem. Last year one young mother gave birth to triplets. She and her boyfriend have no work, no income and lived in a mud hut. Through the kind generosity of visiting Canadian nurses who came with Melanie Stansfield we have assisted and supported the mum and grandmother in caring for these three little ones. Megan Prydun a former volunteer with us who served as Community Ministry Co-ordinator, was able to raise funds for the family and we have built them a new one room house with tin roof and concrete floor. This coming Summer they will not be flooded out in the rains as was this case this year.
We praise God for the working together of His body (the church) through the love and care by our children, our team, our volunteers and visitors. We still need to see these three little ones provided with food, clothes and soon preschool fees. May God continue to touch the hearts of His Beloved around the world so we all share the Good News of the Kingdom of God, who loves us and provides for all our needs.
